At Exacaster we impact the lives of over 40 million consumers on a daily basis by working with clients in the Baltics, USA, Central and South America and the Caribbean. We operate one of the largest big-data environments in the Baltics, and we run some of the most challenging analytical workloads on top of one of the most diverse customer-data sets you'll find anywhere. Exacaster's team is looking for a Product Engineer to join our CVM Platform team.
About the role:
You would be joining our Product team (Kittyhawk) as our new Product Engineer, helping us to build our data platform product by applying your skills and best practices in software development. The product team is building a product that drives customer value growth and empowers managers to execute business strategy effectively. Our CVM Platform centralizes and automates customer data management to address specific Telcos business cases - next best offer recommendations, churn prediction, omnichannel customer experience and many other cases.
The CVM Platform is a microservices environment - Java and Python services behind RESTful APIs, a React frontend, and a mix of SQL (PostgreSQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB) for persistence. We deploy it to the cloud for some clients and on-premise for others. The surface you touch on any given feature follows what the feature needs.
Who should apply:
You might be coming from a full-stack background; from a backend role where you'd reached across to frontend and data because the feature needed it; or from a frontend role where you'd been pulled into the API and data layers for the same reason. All three profiles fit. What matters is end-to-end ownership: rather than tossing tasks over the fence, you dive into whatever surface is needed to unblock yourself. You size in days, pick the most optimal credible path, and follow through after launch.
Your daily tasks will include:
Shaping scope of the solution with fellow engineers and a product manager.
Owning the feature's path to production across whichever surfaces it needs - frontend, backend, data, deploys.
Writing the scaffolding around the code - tests, docs, deploy paths, instrumentation.
Leaving behind a reusable artefact when the pattern recurs - an AI agent skill, a runbook, an internal tool.
Reviewing peers' work.
Following through after launch: instrument, refine, cut what isn't working, or move on based on evidence.
About you:
You’re excited to grow your AI-accelerated engineering skills.
You shipped customer-facing features end-to-end across more than one surface - frontend, backend, data, whatever lines the feature crossed.
You enjoy continuous improvement and proactively raising ideas when you see opportunities.
We promise:
Monthly salary for this position is from 5000 Eur gross to 7000 Eur gross for a full time role.
Participation in the company's stock options program.
Flexible Benefits & Personal learning budget.
10 Growth Days per year – dedicated time for learning and development.
Ownership of whole features, not tasks - and the autonomy to make the calls that go with that, embedded in a team that owns the customer outcome together.
Hybrid work environment with preferably at least 1 day per week in the office.
All the support you need from our experienced team to become an even better professional.
And the most important thing – you will be part of a great international team!
