Tech Lead (AI Solutions)

Exacaster's team is looking for a Tech Lead – AI Solutions to own the technical direction of our Generative AI products - from architecture to production, and from code to people.

About the role

This is a hands-on leadership role for an engineer who wants to do more than write great code - someone who shapes how the team builds, not just what it builds.

You will lead a cross-functional team of AI engineers and software engineers, driving the design and delivery of production-grade AI systems powered by Large Language Models (LLMs). You will set technical standards, make architectural decisions, and ensure our solutions are scalable, reliable, and built to last - while actively mentoring the engineers around you.

Our projects span RAG systems, ML models, data pipelines, and AI agents across telco, finance, and investment management industries - real solutions for real business clients.

The ideal candidate brings strong software engineering fundamentals, real experience shipping AI solutions in production, and the ability to bridge technical complexity with business impact.

Your daily responsibilities

• Own architectural decisions for AI-powered applications and set engineering standards across the team

• Design and develop production-grade LLM-powered solutions, backend services and APIs - scalable, maintainable, production-ready

• Lead the full development lifecycle: from design and prototyping through to deployment, reliability, and observability in production

• Drive CI/CD, testing, versioning, and release practices across AI projects

• Evaluate and introduce new technologies and frameworks where they add real value

• Mentor junior and mid-level engineers, raising the technical bar of the team

• Collaborate with AI engineers, data scientists, and product teams to deliver end-to-end solutions

• Communicate technical decisions and concepts clearly to both engineering teams and business stakeholders

• Build best practices and a culture of engineering excellence within the team
  

We are looking for someone who has

• A proactive, ownership-driven mindset

• 6+ years of experience in software engineering (backend or full-stack)

• Proven track record of leading technical teams or initiatives

• Experience building and shipping production-ready AI/ML or LLM-based solutions

• Strong grasp of system architecture, scalability, and backend development

• Experience with cloud platforms - primarily AWS, Azure or GCP is a plus

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, release management, and production observability

• Familiarity with MLOps practices - monitoring, versioning, and maintaining AI systems in production

• Strong business acumen - able to translate business needs into technical solutions that deliver measurable value

• Excellent communication skills - comfortable talking to engineers and executives alike
  

Nice to have

• Hands-on experience with LLM frameworks (e.g. LangChain), vector databases, or RAG architectures

• Experience with core stack: Snowflake, OpenAI, Claude (Anthropic)

• Experience in telco, finance, or e-commerce AI applications

• Track record of R&D contributions or prototyping new AI initiatives
